Let’s Play!

When the alarm went off, it was -6. When I arrived at my destination, it was -9. I believe that is going the wrong direction, although for some reason, sunrise is always about the coldest time of the morning. All I know is, at that temperature shoveling snow is sure cold on the fingers and toes.

If you like table-top games, card games, ‘people interacting with each other’ kind of games, or ‘no screen time’ games, then the game “Of War and Men,” that is launching February 27 on KickStarter is for you. Put Feb. 27th or 28th on your calendar and google in Kickstarter, then on the site, search for Of War and Men. I am so impressed with the game itself, the art work, and all the hard work that has gone into this game. I know, I know, it’s my kids who started the company and have done all this work, but still, it is impressive. Please give it a look. Their web-site is netherhavyn.com but by going to the kickstarter site, you can pre-order the game and get a really good look at how it is played. It is designed to fit in a back pack and go anywhere with you. No board, screen, or electricity required, just 2 to 4 people who want a challenge. There! I’ve solved your Christmas and birthday shopping challenges for the coming year.

My middle grade book, “Rhyaden” is finished except for the cover art and final polish. It feels pretty darn good to have it done. That means, of course, my marketing campaign has to begin in the near future, so I too am gearing up for all the challenges that involves. I love to write; I don’t love to market, but you know, you do what you gotta do. As Eleanor Roosevelt said, “You must do the things you think you cannot do.”netherhavyn
