Seven More

Hang in there Everybody! Seven more blogs and the election is OVER! Woohoo! A great day for us all – when the campaigning is over that is, not the process nor the results. I’ve noticed in our town there are no lawn signs – it seems no one wants to claim either candidate. Imagine that. – Oops, have to retract that. Today I saw one. Brave soul.

The death toll from Hurricane Matthew has risen, and now Hurricane Nicole has barreled over Bermuda. There seems to be no end to the destruction. Mother Nature might be indicating who is really in charge of this planet. We’ve messed on her steps, and I think she is mad.

Taking advantage of the nice weather and the fact that my granddaughter had a break from school, we drove to the mountains for a hike. So much fun. We ended the day with s’mores. Can’t get any better than that.

Progress report: no bunnies spotted in the backyard.

We are in need of moisture. This part of the country is extremely dry. It’s hard to say anything negative about being dry when so many people are under flood waters in the southeast, but our farmers need moisture, and so do the forests. Fire danger during harvest is no joke, neither is not getting a crop next year without getting moisture now. I wish there was a way to even out the upstairs spigot. Farming is tough enough with the horrible prices right now.

and so it goes…img_1280
