The last bunny has been captured and relocated. I say that with tongue in cheek, hope in my heart, and a small degree of certainty. The new fencing should stop any new tenants from moving in. I’m not holding my breath or making any bets, but I hope.

I removed the last of the sod from the new flower bed and planted the bulbs. That is my last outdoor project for this year. There is furniture to cover, leaves to rake, and benches to move in, but those I will do a little at a time. It’s the best time of year for walking, so that (a walk) is my goal everyday.

Halloween decorations are going up around the neighborhood. What fun! Does anyone have any good ideas for treats – besides candy? I read a magazine article on that subject the other day, but their ideas were too large or too expensive when you have between 50 and 100 kids stop at your door. Since I’m a writer, I thought about giving out pencils, but I can sort of imagine the look on kid’s faces. Maybe a pencil with a piece of sugar free gum?

I keep watching out the window. No bunnies so far.

Brrrr! Almost freezing. That will change what I wear playing tennis this morning. It also means it’s time to unhook the hoses and begin the process of draining them for winter storage. Man. I wasn’t quite ready for that. Guess I should change the furnace settings too. Always something.dsc_0821

and so it goes…
