The High Road

A friend and I went antiquing, something I haven’t done in quite a while. I had so much fun, and I came home with a few treasures. This row of stores is too close; that could get to be a bad habit in a hurry.

So the rocks for the backyard came in the middle of a hot afternoon. We (and I truly mean we – two dollies, a high school boy and me) got them unloaded and two of them placed. The rest will happen in a few days, early in the morning. I about died. Turns out, what didn’t look that big in the sales lot, looks huge when you’re tugging it up the slope in my back yard. It may have been ten degrees cooler than some recent days, but I am not used to being out in the heat. I swept up the street, and went inside for a giant glass of ice water. Done for the day, done in, done.

I love the movement that has recently begun to post something positive everyday, whether it’s on FaceBook, twitter, snap chatted, or texted. Let’s all try to get on board with this. Challenge yourself and your friends. This is truly one of those things that the silent majority can do, even hermit types like me can find or share something positive every day.

I’m looking for an outdoor couch. Anyone out there have a good experience with a brand of outdoor furniture, or a store? I have this notion that I want to sit on it before I buy it. The internet deals don’t appeal much for that reason. This is one of those be patient kind of purchases I suppose.

So, I’m off to hike the high country and camp for a couple days. While I’m gone, find something positive to post and I’ll catch up with you on the flip side. Let’s all take the high road.
