Day By Day

What is it about Mondays? Good thing they keep on coming, though, it means I’m still alive! I’m playing tennis twice a week now. Loving that – and I got in a bike ride yesterday. Great time of year! Oh, and I ordered a tent for camping. Now I suppose I need to get a footprint for it, etc. etc. I can’t wait to get it! Supposedly, this is a “Poof” and it’s up – kind of tent. I need to find a cot that goes up that easy too.

If you haven’t heard the Chewbacca mama laughing yet (cause maybe you thought it was something to do with Star Wars and you wouldn’t be interested), listen to it. It is the funniest thing I have heard in a long, long time. I haven’t laughed that hard in years, so hard, I was in tears. I am one of those who gets tickled by something and can’t stop laughing, just like the lady in the video, so I get it. Come on – laughter is good for you.

My next project is refinishing the leaves that go with my grandparent’s dining room table. Why they got missed when the table was refinished is anybody’s guess, but they did. So here I go. I used to refinish stuff all the time, but haven’t done any for eight years now. Hopefully, it’s like riding a bike.

I got up before sunrise and walked ten minutes to nearby Fossil Lake, a natural area wildlife sanctuary. Birds were out en masse and I saw one fox moving quickly through the grass. There is still snow on the mountains, the moon had not quite retired for the day, and a few joggers were getting going. All in all, a lovely way to start the day. The day ended with a little hail, but thankfully not enough to do any damage.

and so it goes…
