The move is over. I am here. I have been greeted by cakes and cookies from my new neighbors, friendly chat, and a long list of things to do. I am breathing again, and I know my family and friends that have helped me do all of this are glad of that. I am glad to be blessed by such a wonderful bunch.
My plants are wondering what in the world happened to them today. They got slightly squished into my car and a few leaves were still in the car after the pots were out, but for the most part, except for the one that got left behind, they all made it okay. That one won’t be lonely. It has the vacuum to keep it company at my friend’s house. When the car is full – the car is full and who needs a vacuum anyway when the floor is covered with boxes.
The doorbell just rang and my new neighbor brought me over a hamburger, hot off the grill, plus some home-made potato wedges. You can’t beat that. She saw me unloading and sorting all afternoon and decided to take matters into her own hands. Wow and thank you.
I’m done for and exhausted tonight, but I just have to say, things are going to work out and I’m so grateful to everyone who kept telling me that (and kept me sane) over the last three months. I raise a glass to you!
