Flood or fire seems to be the choice right now. I don’t particularly like either one but then again, I just saw The Impossible, a movie about a family who survived the Tsunami in Thailand. That made me shudder. My Minnesota cousins are enduring horrible winds and flooding. So much of Colorado is burning is seems as if we are all in shell-shock. Thank goodness for the Red Cross. If you want to help in some way, that is certainly a good place to make a donation.
As I am typing, the sky is orange from smoke haze. Last night, though, for the Super Moon, we had a beautiful, calm evening and I sat outside on the patio for the first time this summer. It was a beautiful sight. I lost a lot of sleep, but what the heck, those kind of moon-scapes don’t come along very often. Occasionally, clouds drifted by and did a short salsa across the moon’s surface. It was a peaceful reminder of a world that was here long before me and will be here long after me.
