Yes, it is graduation time. Here is a shout-out to a very special Peter, graduating from Arvada West today. I cannot believe that your day has come so soon. My three children were all in your parent’s wedding and now I have grandchildren and you are about to start an exciting life in college. I am so happy for you.

Graduations are so bitter-sweet. An ending and a beginning. A time to be proud and a time to be scared. A time for reflection and a time for celebration. I wish Dean was here to shake your hand. He would be so proud of the little guy who first drove the Ferguson while sitting on his lap – now all grown up and heading off to a school a world away from his family. You go, Peter. Take our love and our prayers with you, and have a great life!

By the way. I got to see the Air Force Thunderbirds do their fly-over for the Academy’s graduation today! What a stirring sight. Reminds me of how very proud I am of our military!
